ENTER THE CYPHER turns 2!!!

ENTER THE CYPHER turns 2!!!

So, in case you missed it, it was our biggest night yet! If you haven't been out to Enter the Cypher at Cousin Larry's in Danbury, what are you waiting for?!?! If you have been, keep coming, live hip hop needs your support. It is also a consistently dope show.

This month we had blistering performances from Workforce, Phenetiks, Expertiz, Sketch, Yogi Figgs and the Nauts. In keeping with tradition, our September Enter the Cypher is always a fund-raiser. At this event, we raised $360 for the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which provides support to injured soldiers returning home from duty. If you get a chance, check out the good work that they've been doing and make a donation to support our troops.

Uprise Tour: Counter-Recruitment

So, we just got done with 2 dates on the Uprise Tour to promote Counter-Recruitment in NYC and at Ramapo College in New Jeru... At both dates, there are these guys from the organization Iraq Veterans Against the War.

These guys have a message that needs to be heard. They are telling a story about the war that nobody else is telling- and these are guys who were on the front line, taking it on the chin for the arrogant and destructive policies of our government.

They watched while equipment got funnelled out of Afghanistan to Iraq, even while we were told that the hunt for Osama Bin Laden was in full swing. They served multiple tours because the government can't adequately recruit enough new soldiers to serve...

Of course they can't recruit new soldiers- who wants to serve in an unjust war that theoretically can go on forever...

Please check these guys out at http://www.ivaw.org/ and support our troops for real.

In their own words- if you want war, then you go fight.

Peace-

Othello
